Pandle is a great accounting software package for beginners and for simple businesses. We would highly recommend it. However if you need features such as stock control, currency conversion and lots of reporting then Pandle would not be right for you.

Sage Business Cloud Review

We liked Sage Business Cloud Accounting and we think for a very small business without much or any bookkeeping experience this would make a great package. However, we did question if it was too basic, we think that as soon as a user got to grips with basic bookkeeping that they would want much more from this accounting software.

Freshbooks review

We liked Freshbooks but please be aware that this is mainly for invoicing (which it does extremely well) and not traditional accounting software. If you asked Freshbooks how to enter opening balances you would be faced with a blank expression. Your accountant would probably rather you used an alternative to make their lives easier but you should be able to get away with it if you have a very simple business and are not VAT registered.

Crunch Review

Overall we felt the concept was floored and not flexible enough, and overpriced compared to other options available. Crunch targets freelancers and contractors which is good because they probably won’t have an awful lot of transactions to process. We couldn’t help feeling though that this would be a bit over the top for a simple freelance business.
